"I wanted a house without a road. Then I built the house and I needed the road."
Our adorable artsy villa was built painstakingly over 40 years by an Argentinian industrial designer. It's called Can Pau, set on a cliff overlooking the ocean. Dreamy.
Not much of a road was built, to be honest, but we didn't care. The stars were amazing. I often said we might encounter aliens, that's how far away we felt. No make-up, fewer clothes, a lot of wine. It was dee-lee-cious!
The island was busier than I expected for late September, but we managed to find a few hidden drives and short walks to more secluded spots. Plus the water was some kinda crazy turquoise and warm enough to swim, naked and often! I absolutely love sunbathing and swimming nude. Why be restricted and uncomfortable? I recommend renting a scooter for easier beach parking. All the beaches are worth a visit, and most are okay with nudity.
There are tons of gorgeous restaurants on the island, most a touch costly but worth it. My favorites were Can Dani, a dinner I will remember for the rest of my life; and A Mi Manera for its insanely magical garden setting.
